TITLE I MISSION The purpose of Title
I support is to help students: - Succeed in regular education programs of the
district.
- Attain grade-level proficiency on district-wide assessments.
- Improve achievement in basic skills.
What can we talk about after reading?
Inviting kids to express their
own ideas is a great way to get them involved. Encourage your student to discuss questions and issues relating to the class
material. (Don't forget, even those who are too shy to speak up in class often have important things to say.) Ask
lots of "Why?" and "How do you know?" and "What do you think?" questions about the books
that are being read.
